The bass guitar is an essential component with any band, providing the backdrop that allows the more prominent instruments, like the piano and guitar to flourish. Bass guitarists tie a band together by underscoring the harmonic/melodic progressions within music performance and work closely with the rhythms that are laid down by the drummer.
My goal is to teach you the many varied styles and techniques that the bass guitar has to offer. I have worked with many musicians and completed a multitude of solo, ensemble performances as well as session based work.
One-to-one tuition
During my competitively priced music lessons, I will teach you different bass guitar styles and techniques such as picking, plucking, slapping, popping and tapping. My aim is also to provide you with a musical understanding that focuses upon notation, enabling you to gain a knowledge of (for example) scales, chords, intervals, and harmonies, as well as a comprehensive understanding of beats, timing, and rhythm.
